During my recent trip to Nepal, I had the opportunity to explore two of its most captivating destinations: Pokhara and Kathmandu (Lalitpur).
Pokhara is known for Phewa Lake and activities like kayaking. After a beautiful sunrise at Sarangkot, it was a joy to enjoy good food at cafes along the lakeside. My friend and I took a bike ride to a local stream on the outskirts of the city.
In Lalitpur, I explored areas near Patan Durbar Square, which still retains many old buildings and streets filled with inspiring vernacular brick-and-timber architecture and artisans from long and extended generations who continue their craft to preserve the city’s rich heritage.
I left with a deeper appreciation for the culture and spirit of this remarkable country, and I look forward to returning someday to explore even more of its wonders.
